The students of the Technical University of Senftenberg are clever, because for two years now they have been developing a vehicle called "Mammut" in model lightweight construction, which is trend-setting in terms of energy consumption. They are so good that they have been approved as a racing team for the 2018 Shell Eco-marathon. But they have a problem! How do they get the Mammut to the race track in London?

Don’t complain, just ask REX or even the STEMA Team in Grossenhain. The REX is a practical companion that can even take on the “Mammut” in an inclined position. With its wide access ramp and chicly printed weatherproof cover, the tilting trailer fits perfectly with the lightweight vehicle, “Mammut,” from the Senftenberg students, who are travelling to London at the beginning of July. The marathon starts in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London and will be carried out for three days under the strictest jury supervision. The Shell Eco-marathon is a creative way to get the public acquainted with energy efficient vehicles. 100 teams will take part in this European competition.

As one of the eleven German teams, the team from Cottbus-Senftenberg has set its sights on a top performance. In 2017, the students still drove with a battery, with the Mammut they are counting on hydrogen. “We would like to make a contribution to a more sustainable world and encourage people to change their way of thinking", says team manager, Anastasia Skifov. STEMA’s executive leadership shares this attitude completely. The company is the initiator of the Trailer Industrial Association (TIV - Trailer Industrieverbandes e.V.), which is involved with the energy revolution and e-mobility.
